This listing is for an original painting by the Canadian listed artist William Glen Smith (1923-1993)
Signed by the artist lower right, and dated 1981.
It is a painting of a Grey Jay.
It is watercolour paint on paper. Framed behind glass.
The visible image (area inside the mats), is about 12 3/4 x 10 inches.
The frame is about 20 x 17 inches.
The painting is in excellent condition. The frame has minor marks and dings.
Glen Smith was a wildlife biologist and bird artist. His paintings of birds are as good as they get – certainly the equal of Fenwick Lansdowne and Robert Bateman, Carl Brenders etc.
